![]() You basically have to chase the sim you're interacting with around, because they'll get up in the middle of a conversation and just sit somewhere else. Whilst this isn't too bad with two sims in a small space, it's insane in a large lot with multiple sims. Sims have a weird need to get up and move around in the course of conversations. This thread seems to mainly focus on things we don't like so I'm just specifically voicing those opinions.Īgree with what you said, here's four, no, five, no sorry, six more: I actually have a bigger list of things I like about the game, such as the UI, build mode search bar and multiple outfits. The neighborhoods are small imo, I dont feel 3-4 buildings and a park is enough activities for my sims. Possibly a bug though.Ĭhatting on a computer doesn't give anything to your social bar, regardless of the little +social icons coming from the sim. On the ipad thing you can talk to them there, it increases your social bar but I haven't seen it increase the relationship bar with that person. (However I don't see the relationship bar decrease as fast as it does in TS2) You have to actually have them become your friends before you can spam call them. Once you meet an acquaintance, you can't just call for a chat one million times to make them your friend. The repair/replace thing is quite annoying, I have upgraded everything in the house and it all still breaks a ton. ![]() They removed randomizing personality traits! You can randomize anything to do with appearance but not the personality traits. Here's what I've seen so far which I'm not too pleased about: I'll add more as I think of them, but feel free to contribute to the list/criticize what's present. Not to mention you can't actually view/appreciate the town for what it is because it's white until you hover over it (again, very weird design choices). They are literally neighborhoods at most. It's like if Windows suddenly deciding that they want to move the minimize/maximize/close bottoms to the bottom right corner. For example, why are the actions/queues on the bottom left now? Our eyes have been used to looking at the top left for over 10 years. As a UX designer, I find some of the decisions to be really debatable. I'm not a huge fan of the new UI, simply because it's doing the opposite of what a redesign is supposed to do. I am less motivated to take my sim anywhere because it means I can't control my other sims while I'm traveling. This one is obvious, but a lack of open world brings with it some burden that I was relieved of in the Sims 3. This has been a feature since the Sims 2, why was it omitted? In my household of 4, none of them go to the right beds. Omission of the repairman? Whenever something breaks, either spend 3 hours repairing it or replace it? Uh. This means that I literally have nothing to do while all of my sims at work. ![]() When you're at work, you cannot view anything about the sim. Useful for anyone thinking to try the game. Pledges are processed only once per month, and what you pay isn't connected to if I post once or ten times.Įven if you do not choose to pledge today, thanks for reading and considering. There are some things that were changed/removed in the Sims 4 that I thought were really annoying and unnecessary. Overall, pledging to me helps support continued work on my mods. Occasionally, if a mod is particularly unwieldy and I need help making sure all the moving parts are working properly, I will post a beta version of the mod here for Gold tier patrons to play with early so they can give me direct feedback. While I may use Patreon to show off features I am working on or to ask for direct feedback, my mods will always remain free for everyone to download on my itch.io page.īy pledging to my Patreon, you'll gain access to any development blog posts I publish here, detailing features I'd like to add to existing or future mods, and any feedback polls if I'm not sure how to proceed on something specific. I plan on updating my mods for as long as the game continues to get patched, and I plan on creating new mods for as long as I keep finding things I can change or add to the game. That usually takes shape as custom personality traits, but I make other stuff, too. I love making mods that force your Sims to react to stimuli in different ways and engage with game content that you'd normally forget about. In recent years I have started making mods for the The Sims 4, and become part of the larger modding and support community for the game. Hello there, I'm Kuttoe! I've been playing The Sims for a long time. |
